  • Hall was originally sent to Congress in 1775, not by Georgia, but by St. John's Parish - an independence minded area in an otherwise loyalist colony. He was made a non-voting member of Congress.

  • When Georgia finally decided to participate in the Continental Congress in 1776, Hall's position changed to a full member of the Congress representing the colony.
