  • Braxton was prehaps the most conservative and Loyalist of the signers. He voted against the Declaration in the July 1st test vote, but changed his vote in the official tally the following day, probably to make Virgnia's vote unamamous.

  • Braxton had an amazing 18 children, two by his first wife and 16 by his second.
