Fun Facts:

  • John Rogers was a member of the Continental Congress representing Maryland. He voted for the Declaration on July 2nd, but due to illness did not sign the document on August 2nd.

  • Several others signed the Declaration after August 2nd, including sevral who were not in Congress on July 2nd for the vote, but for some reason Rogers never did. This makes him the only person to vote for the Declaraton and not sign it.
